Colony Recovery
Colony Recovery
Colony Recovery is the process of stabilizing a damaged, neglected, raided, sick, or partially collapsed colony.
When Recovery Might Be Needed
Recovery may be needed after:
--a leader dies
--multiple pets die or become unavailable
--food or water failure
--sickness outbreak
--raid damage
--unsafe dens or broken defenses
--unresolved remains or contamination
--territory loss
--long neglect
--severe weather or seasonal pressure
Recovery Priorities
Good first steps usually include:
--check Colony Pulse
--check living pets and eligibility
--make sure there is a valid leader or successor
--secure food
--secure safe water
--treat sick or injured pets
--quarantine risky pets
--handle deceased remains
--repair beds, dens, and defenses
--stabilize territory
Recovery Is Not Instant
Recovery may take time. A colony can survive a crisis but still need follow-up care.
If the den survived the storm but every bed is wet, every herb is wilted, and three pets are coughing, that is not recovery. That is the forest asking for a meeting.
Who Helps Recovery
Recovery may involve:
--leaders
--healers
--caretakers
--builders
--warriors or Perimeter Keepers
--elders in safer Elder Hearth roles
--reserve pets
--players making careful resource choices
